Qatar Airways has launched an offer providing up to 20% off flights and the opportunity to earn up to 10,000 bonus Avios. This offer applies to bookings made between 8 September and 18 September 2026.

• An extra 2,000 bonus Avios for a member’s first eligible online booking.

• New Privilege Club members can earn an additional up to 2,000 bonus Avios.

Combining these offers could result in a total of up to 14,000 bonus Avios, provided all eligibility requirements are met.

Opinion

At first glance, this looks like a great opportunity to save on Qatar Airways flights from Europe and earn some additional Avios in the process. However, there are quite a few complexities with this promotion, starting with a short booking window and numerous conditions. And while 20% does sound like a solid discount, it only applies to the airfare itself – surcharges, taxes, and other fees are not discounted.

I tried a couple of routes and honestly cannot determine if the discount was applied, as the booking system does not indicate any discounts or savings. To be honest, promotions like this make me feel that I am wasting time trying to figure out how they work.
