Privacy policy

We keep reader data collection minimal. This page explains what is stored when you read CheckedInDaily.

Article statistics

We count article views to build the trending list. Those counts are aggregate: no account, name, or advertising identifier is attached to them.

Cookies

The public site does not require cookies to read articles. Cookies are used only for newsroom sign-in on the private admin area.

Email

If you email us a tip or correction, we keep that message so we can follow up and verify the story. We do not sell or share it.

Newsletter

When you subscribe to the daily loyalty briefing we store your name, email address, and the date, time and IP address of your signup. The IP address is kept only as proof of consent. We use double opt-in: nothing is sent until you click the confirmation link, which expires after seven days.

We use this data only to send the briefing you asked for. We never sell or rent it, and we do not share it with advertisers. Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe or request deletion by emailing us. Unsubscribing stops all further mailings; we keep a minimal record of the unsubscribe so we do not contact you again by mistake.

Third parties

Some articles link to airline, hotel or card issuer sites. Once you follow a link, that company's own privacy policy applies.
