Finnair Plus offers up to 50% bonus on Avios purchases

Finnair Plus is offering a bonus of up to 50% on purchased Avios. This promotion is available until 6 October 2026. With the maximum bonus, the cost per Avios is reduced to 1.40 Euro cents.

The bonus structure is tiered: purchases of between 1,000 and 6,000 Avios receive no bonus. A 30% bonus applies to purchases of 7,000 to 24,000 Avios. Purchases between 25,000 and 54,000 Avios receive a 35% bonus, while 55,000 to 89,000 Avios yield a 40% bonus. The 50% bonus is offered for purchases of 90,000 Avios or more, with the lowest per-Avios cost achieved when buying between 100,000 and 200,000 Avios. The maximum purchase will cost 4,200 EUR.

To qualify for this offer, members must have joined the Finnair Plus programme before 18 September 2026 and have a minimum balance of 50 Avios in their account. Avios can be transferred from other Avios-participating programmes, such as British Airways Executive Club, to meet the 50 Avios account balance requirement.

Finnair Plus adopted Avios as its loyalty currency in March 2024. Members can transfer Avios instantly and without fees between Finnair Plus and other programmes using Avios, including British Airways Executive Club, Qatar Airways Privilege Club, Iberia Plus, Aer Lingus AerClub, Loganair Clan, and Vueling Club.

Opinion

A 50% bonus on Avios purchases is generally not a compelling deal. This is more expensive than a previous Finnair sale in June that offered a 40% discount. As always, if you have a specific redemption in mind and need more Avios for it, the purchase might be worthwhile.
