Qatar Airways Privilege Club has launched a promotion offering up to a 60% bonus on Avios purchases. The offer is valid for purchases made between October 16 and October 19, 2026. This is the best Avios offer from Qatar Airways we've seen since December 2025.

The bonus structure varies based on the number of Avios purchased:

• Purchases of 5,000 to 20,000 Avios yield a 30% bonus.

• Purchases of 21,000 to 40,000 Avios receive a 50% bonus.

• A 60% bonus is applied to purchases of 42,000 to 250,000 Avios.

The standard price for Avios ranges from 2.3 to 2.8 cents per Avios, with no additional taxes or fees. With a 60% bonus, buying the maximum 250,000 Avios (resulting in 400,000 Avios with the bonus) would cost $5,750, equating to an effective rate of 1.44 cents per Avios. This represents the programme's best offer for buying Avios so far this year.

Members are limited to purchasing 250,000 Avios per account per calendar year, before any bonuses. To be eligible for purchasing Avios, members must have accumulated at least 1,000 Avios in their account since enrolment. Purchased Avios typically post to accounts much faster than the stated 72-hour timeframe.

Avios purchases are processed by Points.com and do not qualify as airfare purchases for credit card spending categories.

Qatar Airways Privilege Club Avios expire three years after account inactivity. Any earning or redemption activity, including purchasing Avios, resets this expiration period for an additional 36 months.

A rate of 1.44 cents per Avios is the best offer this year for buying Qatar Airways Avios. However, with the ability to transfer Avios freely between several programmes (British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Finnair) and various credit card transfer partners (Citi ThankYou, Amex Membership Rewards, Capital One, Chase Ultimate Rewards), directly buying Avios might not be the most efficient path for many. This promotion is mainly useful for those needing to top up an account for a specific redemption or to quickly extend Avios validity. If you are flexible in terms of travel dates, departure airports, etc., having a stock of Avios can also be helpful to leverage Privilege Deals.
