IHG One Rewards Offers 15% Discount on Award Stays

IHG One Rewards has launched an offer providing a 15% discount on award night redemptions. The promotion is currently only available to members holding an IHG co-branded credit card, but it is expected to become available to other IHG elite members in the coming days.

To utilise the discount, bookings must be completed by September 21, 2026. Eligible stays must occur by November 2, 2026. The 15% reduction applies to the points portion of award bookings, including Points & Cash redemptions. The discount is reflected at the time of booking, showing both the original and discounted point prices.

This offer cannot be combined with the fourth night free benefit associated with IHG co-branded credit cards. For members with IHG free night certificates valid for properties up to 40,000 points per night, this discount could enable redemptions at properties that would ordinarily exceed this cap without a top-up.

Given IHG's dynamic pricing, any fixed percentage off is welcome. The short booking and stay window (just over a month for stays) is restrictive, but if your travel plans align, this is a clear win.

This promotion also offers a practical advantage for using free night certificates, potentially allowing them to stretch further to cover higher-value properties. Just be sure to rebook any existing stays if prices have dropped and your booking allows it.
