Turkish Airlines' Miles&Smiles program has launched a limited-time promotion allowing members to buy miles with a bonus of up to 100%. The offer is valid for purchases made between September 29 and October 15, 2026.

Key details

  • Purchase window: September 29 – October 15, 2026

  • Bonus tiers: 25% for 50,000–100,000 miles; 50% for 100,001–250,000 miles; 100% for 250,001–500,000 miles

  • Cost: 1.5 US cents per mile (before bonus)

  • Maximum purchase: 500,000 miles within the calendar year

  • Bonus credit: Within 7 days after the campaign ends

The bonus percentage varies based on the number of miles purchased in a single transaction. Members buying between 50,000 and 100,000 miles will receive a 25% bonus. A 50% bonus is applied for purchases of 100,001 to 250,000 miles. The highest bonus, 100%, is available when purchasing 250,001 to 500,000 miles.

The standard price for miles is 1.5 US cents each. With a 100% bonus, this effectively reduces the cost to 0.75 US cents per mile. For example, purchasing 300,000 miles for $4,500 would result in a total of 600,000 miles with the bonus. The maximum number of miles a member can purchase within the calendar year during this campaign is 500,000 miles.

Bonus miles are not displayed during the purchase process and will be credited to the member's account within seven days following the end of the campaign period. Miles purchased and extra miles earned under this promotion are not status miles. Miles purchased are non-refundable.

Opinion

A 100% bonus on purchased miles can represent a reasonable value if you have a specific redemption in mind. At 0.75 US cents per mile, this offer makes Miles&Smiles miles more accessible for those looking to top up their account for premium cabin redemptions, particularly on Turkish Airlines' own flights. It's a standard bonus rate for these types of sales, so it's not unprecedented but certainly welcome. Always check award availability before committing to a purchase.
