Edelweiss Air has announced new cabin interiors for its Airbus A350-900 fleet, with the first aircraft featuring the updated product scheduled to enter service in early June 2027. The airline expects all six A350s to be reconfigured by early October 2027. These aircraft are replacing the existing Airbus A340-300s.
The updated A350s will have a reduced total capacity of 319 seats, down from 339, distributed across three classes:
Business Class: 32 seats (up from 30)
Premium Economy: 28 seats (newly introduced)
Economy Class: 259 seats (down from 309)
Cabin Features
The new cabins will feature a modern design with a calming colour palette and updated technology. Key improvements include:
Business Class: A 1-2-1 configuration offering direct aisle access from all seats. The first row will feature an “Edelweiss Business Suite” with privacy doors, larger 32-inch entertainment monitors, and a larger footwell.
Premium Economy: A 2-3-2 configuration with hard-shell seats. This cabin includes a welcome drink, expanded meal service on china with a tablecloth, alcoholic drinks, and noise-cancelling headphones. Wireless charging is also available.
Economy Class: Seats will offer approximately three centimetres more legroom and a greater seat tilt angle compared to the previous cabin, in a 3-3-3 layout.
Across all cabins, technology enhancements include free Starlink Wi-Fi, 4K screens with Bluetooth audio connectivity, an updated inflight entertainment system with over 400 movies and TV shows, a 3D flight map, and an external camera. USB-A and USB-C ports with 60 watts of power will be available throughout, with wireless charging in premium economy and business class.

Opinion
I've never flown with Edelweiss Air, mostly because they specifically brand themselves as a 'holiday' airline, targeting typical holiday destinations from Switzerland.
The new seats, however, look amazing and come with all the features one might expect; from Starlink Wi-Fi to 4K screens, privacy doors and more. I really hope they can keep the proposed implementation schedule — if so, I'd be happy to check out their product and service.
