Air Europa Suma is currently offering a bonus of up to 50% on purchased miles. This promotion, running until 07 October 2026, allows members to acquire miles at a reduced cost, with the lowest price point being 1.00 EUR-cent per mile.
Key details
Purchase window: 25 September 2026 to 07 October 2026
Bonus: Up to 50% bonus miles
Price: From 1.00 EUR-cent per mile for purchases of 70,000 base miles or more
Account age: Suma account must be at least 60 days old before the first miles purchase
Limit: Annual purchase limit temporarily increased to 200,000 base miles
The bonus structure is tiered: a 25% bonus is applied for purchases starting from 1,000 miles, increasing to 30% for 10,000 miles, and 40% for 30,000 miles. The maximum 50% bonus is achieved when purchasing 70,000 base miles or more. For example, purchasing 70,000 miles for 1,050 EUR results in a total of 105,000 miles (70,000 + 35,000 bonus), making the cost 1.00 EUR-cent per mile. The standard price is 1.50 EUR-cent per mile.
A notable condition for participation is that the Air Europa Suma account must have been opened at least 60 days prior to the first miles purchase. So if you currently do not have a Suma account, the current sale is unfortunately not for you.
The annual purchase limit has been temporarily raised from 100,000 to 200,000 base miles for the duration of this offer. Air Europa Suma states that attractive redemption opportunities may arise, particularly for Business Class flights to North, Central, and South America, due to the programme's fixed award chart for its 'Exclusive Fares'.
An example provided indicates a Business Class flight from Madrid to New York JFK requiring 50,000 Suma miles plus 61.28 EUR in taxes and fees. At the 1.00 EUR-cent per mile rate, the notional cost for the miles would be 500 EUR, bringing the total estimated cost to 561 EUR for a one-way flight. This calculation assumes the member purchases enough miles to reach the 1.00 EUR-cent per mile rate (e.g., buying 105,000 miles for 1,050 EUR and using 50,000). For 'Exclusive Fares', fuel surcharges are reportedly included in the mileage cost, leading to lower cash co-pays. Redemptions for partner airlines, such as SkyTeam members or others like Etihad and GOL, typically require booking via the Suma customer service centre and may have varying availability and surcharges.

Opinion
This Air Europa Suma miles sale is interesting, primarily due to the programme's fixed award chart for its 'Exclusive Fares'. In an age of dynamic pricing, a 1 EUR-cent per mile rate for a Business Class flight across the Atlantic at 561 EUR is a solid value proposition. The catch, as always, is availability, and the requirement for an account to be 60 days old is a nuisance, limiting spontaneity.
