Avianca LifeMiles has launched a new promotion offering up to a 145% bonus on purchased miles. The sale is available for purchases made until 20 October 2026.
Key details
Purchase window: 12 October to 20 October 2026 (08:00-23:59 GMT -6, El Salvador)
Bonus tiers: 1,000–20,000 miles = 125% bonus; 21,000–50,000 miles = 135% bonus; 51,000–200,000 miles = 145% bonus
Cost per mile: 1.35 US cents with a 145% bonus
Purchase limits: Up to 200,000 miles per transaction (before bonus), up to 500,000 miles per calendar year (before bonus), or 1,000,000 miles total (including bonus) per calendar year
Non-participating countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela
The bonus is tiered based on the number of miles purchased. Members buying between 1,000 and 20,000 miles will receive a 125% bonus. Purchases of 21,000 to 50,000 miles qualify for a 135% bonus. The highest bonus of 145% is offered for purchases of 51,000 to 200,000 miles.
When purchasing miles with the 145% bonus, the effective cost per mile is 1.35 US cents. This is higher than previous sales, which saw prices as low as 1.22 US cents per mile in 2025 (170% bonus) and 1.27 US cents per mile in 2026 (160% bonus).
Members can purchase a maximum of 200,000 miles per transaction before any bonus is applied. The annual limit for miles purchased, including bonus miles, is 1,000,000 miles per calendar year. Purchased miles count towards Elite progress, except for Status Magno; however, flying with Avianca is required to achieve elite status.

Opinion
As this is the same bonus LifeMiles offered in September, my opinion has not changed: it is not worth buying these miles, as LifeMiles continues to be highly unreliable. In just the past few weeks, various carriers' inventory disappeared from the site again, and there have been various technical and other issues. If you really need LifeMiles for some reason, I would suggest waiting a few weeks. With some luck, they will have a Black Friday offer of some sort with a higher bonus.
