SAS Completes Starlink WiFi Rollout on A320neo Fleet

SAS has completed the installation of Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi across its entire fleet of 81 Airbus A320neo aircraft. The rollout was finished in six months, following the service's launch in March. These A320neo aircraft represent approximately 70% of the airline's total fleet and operate a significant portion of its European network flights.

The installation process for each aircraft was conducted alongside normal flight operations, including testing and approval before returning to service. SAS plans to proceed with the next phase of its Starlink rollout, with preparations for remaining aircraft types underway and further installations scheduled before the end of the year.

Completing the rollout on nearly three-quarters of the fleet in just six months is impressive, demonstrating a clear commitment to improving the in-flight experience. High-speed, gate-to-gate connectivity is no longer a luxury but an expectation, and SAS delivering it across its primary European fleet is a genuinely positive step. It will be interesting to see how quickly the rest of the fleet is outfitted.

I appreciate this personally, since I sometimes fly to Oslo or other destinations in Europe that provide better fares to Asia. While these flights might only be two to three hours long, having fast Wi-Fi is a huge plus as it allows me to get some work done. Well done, SAS.
